For he has lifted his hands against the Lord, and he has hardened his neck against the Almighty Lord.

And he has run against Him with insolence, on the thickness of the back of his shield.

Though you scourge a fool, disgracing him in the midst of the council, you will [still] in no way remove his folly from him.

There is this evil in all that is done under the sun, that there is one event to all. Yea, the heart of the sons of men is filled with evil, and madness is in their heart during their life, and after that [they go] to the dead.

Why should you be smitten anymore, transgressing more and more? The whole head is pained, and the whole heart sad.

For all these things are Mine, says the Lord; and to whom will I have respect, but to the humble and meek, and the [man] that trembles [at] My words?

And all these your servants shall come down to me, and reverence me, saying, Go forth, you and all the people over whom you presided, and afterwards I will go forth.

And Aaron said to Moses, I beseech you, my lord, do not lay [this] sin upon us, for we were ignorant in which we have sinned.

And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech You, heal her.

And King Jeroboam said to the man of God, Intreat the Lord your God, and let my hand be restored to me. And the man of God intreated the Lord, and He restored the king's hand to him, and it became as before.

And the sons of them that afflicted you, and of them that provoked you, shall come to you in fear; and you shall be called Zion, the city of the Holy One of Israel.

Behold, I will give those of the synagogue of Satan, those who say they are Jews and are not, but they are lying-behold, I will compel them to come and bow down at your feet, and they shall know that I have loved you.

He has had regard to the prayer of the lowly, and has not despised their petition.

Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
