And it came to pass in the time of Solomon's old age, that his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as [was] the heart of David his father.

And he walked in the sins of his father which he wrought in his presence, and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as [was] the heart of his father [David].

But he removed not the high places; nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord all his days.

When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, I am your God, be well-pleasing before Me, and be blameless.

You shall be perfect before the Lord your God.

O Lord, remember, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in Your eyes. And Hezekiah wept with a great weeping.

And now, [my] son Solomon, know the God of your fathers, and serve Him with a perfect heart and a willing soul; for the Lord searches all hearts, and knows every thought: if you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you should forsake Him, He will forsake you forever.

There was a certain man in the land of Uz, whose name [was] Job; and that man was true, blameless, righteous, and godly, abstaining from everything evil.

And the Lord said to him, Have you diligently considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on [all] the earth, a blameless man, true, godly, abstaining from everything evil?

Maintain innocence, and behold uprightness; for there is a remnant to the peaceable man.

Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Not that I have already obtained, or have already been made perfect; but I press on, if also I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Nevertheless, to what we have attained, let us walk by the same rule, [being] of the same mind.
