And Isaiah was in the middle court, and the word of the Lord came to him, saying,

And Solomon had forty thousand brood mares for his chariots, and twelve thousand horses. And he reigned over all the kings from the river and to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt: so Solomon the son of David reigned over Israel and Judah in Jerusalem.

Then Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the City of David into his house which he built for himself in those days,

And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh from the City of David to the house which he had built for her; for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the City of David, the king of Israel, for [the place] is holy into which the ark of the Lord has entered.
