that the Lord appeared to Solomon a second time, as He appeared in Gibeon.

and dreamed. And behold, a ladder fixed on the earth, whose top reached to heaven, and the angels of God ascended and descended on it.

And the Lord stood upon it, and said, I am the God of your father Abraham, and the God of Isaac; fear not, the land on which you lie I will give to you and to your seed.

And He said to them, Hear My words: If there should be a prophet among you of the Lord, I will be made known to him in a vision, and in sleep will I speak to him.

For when the Lord speaks once, or a second time,

[sending] a dream, or in the meditation of the night (as when a dreadful alarm happens to fall upon men, while sleeping on the bed),

But while he was thinking about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take unto [you] Mary your wife, for that which is begotten in her is of the Holy Spirit.

Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, and take along the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you; for Herod is about to seek the young Child to destroy Him."

Now after Herod died, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, Ask what I shall give you.

And now, O Lord God, let Your name be established upon David my father; for You have made me king over a people as numerous [as] the dust of the earth.

And God said to Solomon, Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for great wealth, nor glory, nor the life of your enemies, and you have not asked for long life; but have asked for yourself wisdom and understanding, that you might judge My people, over whom I have made you king;

"Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.

For everyone that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks, it shall be opened.

And He said to them, "What do you desire Me to do for you?"

But Jesus said to them, "You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup which I drink, and to be baptized with the baptism [with] which I am baptized?"

but to sit on My right side and on My left side is not Mine to give, but [to those] for whom it has been prepared."

But Jesus, having called them to [Himself], said to them, "You know that those being reputed to be ruling the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them.

And whoever of you desires to be first shall be servant of all.

And they came to Jericho. And as He was going out from Jericho along with His disciples and a large crowd, Bartimaeus the blind man, the son of Timaeus, was sitting alongside the road begging.

And many rebuked him, that he should be silent. But he cried out all the more, "Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!"

And casting away his garment, he rose up and came to Jesus.

For this reason I say to you, all things whatsoever you ask for in prayer, believe that you [will] receive [them], and they will be yours.

And whatever you may ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If you should ask anything in My name, I will do [it].

You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you may ask the Father in My name He may give to you.

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him.

But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing, for he that doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we should ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

And if we know that He hears us, whatever we may ask, we know that we have the requests that we have requested from Him.
