And the Lord said to her, There are two nations in your womb, and two peoples shall be separated from your body, and one people shall be stronger than the other, and the older shall serve the younger.

And you shall live by your sword, and shall serve your brother; and there shall be [a time] when you shall break and loosen his yoke from off your neck.

And Bela died; and Jobab, son of Zerah, from Bozrah reigned in his place.

And when Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who cut off Midian in the plain of Moab, ruled in his place; and the name of his city was Avith.

And when Samlah died, Saul of Rehoboth-by-the River reigned in his place.

And when Baal-Hanan the son of Achbor died, Hadar the son of Barad reigned in his place; and the name of his city was Pau; and the name of his wife was Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, son of Mezahab.

Chief Oholibamah, Chief Elah, Chief Pinon,

Chief Magdiel, and Chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom in their dwelling places in the land of their possession; this is Esau, the father of Edom.

And he set garrisons in Edom, even in all Edom: and all the Edomites were servants to the king. And the Lord preserved David wherever he went.

And the king of Israel went, and the king of Judah, and the king of Edom; and they marched on that roundabout route for seven days; and there was no water for the army, and for the cattle that went with them.

In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and they made a king over themselves.

Moab is the caldron of My hope; over Edom will I cast My sandal; the Philistines are made subject to Me.

Who will bring me into the fortified city? Or who will lead me to Edom?
