Then the mother of Zebedee's sons came to Him with her sons, worshipping [Him], and asking something from Him.

And He said to her, "What do you desire?" She said to Him, "Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right hand and one on Your left, in Your kingdom."

And when the wine had given out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine."

Jesus said to her, "Woman, what have I to do with you? My hour has not yet come."

"Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.

Or what man is there among you who, if his son should ask for bread, will give to him a stone?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, by how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Again, assuredly I say to you that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

For I have come to 'turn a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law';

and 'a man's enemies [will be] his own household members.'

But I say to you that it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you."

"So I say to you, ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

And whatever you may ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If you should ask anything in My name, I will do [it].

You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, so that whatever you may ask the Father in My name He may give to you.
