And he reigned three years over Jerusalem; and his mother's name [was] Maachah, daughter of Absalom.

And he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name [was] Ana, daughter of Absalom.

And all Judah rejoiced concerning the oath; for they swore with all their heart, and they sought Him with all their desires, and He was found of them. And the Lord gave them rest round about.

And he removed Maachah his mother from being priestess to Asherah; and he cut down the idol, and burned it in the Brook of Kidron.

And he brought in the holy things of David his father, and the holy things of the house of God, silver, and gold, and vessels.

And if your brother by your father or mother, or your son, or daughter, or your wife in your bosom, or friend who is equal to your own soul, entreat you secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known,

you shall not consent to him, neither shall you hearken to him; and your eye shall not spare him, you shall feel no regret for him, neither shall you at all protect him:

And they shall stone him with stones, and he shall die, because he sought to draw you away from the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

Who says to his father and mother, I have not seen you; and he knew not his brethren, and he refused to know his sons; he kept Your oracles, and observed Your covenant.

And it shall come to pass, if a man will yet prophesy, that his father and his mother which gave birth to him shall say to him, You shall not live; for you have spoken lies in the name of the Lord: and his father and his mother who gave him birth shall bind him as he is prophesying.

He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

And while He was still speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him.

But He answered and said to him that told Him, "Who is My mother? And who are My brothers?"

For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother."

Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know [Him thus] no longer.

to whom not even for an hour did we yield in subjection, that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

But from those who seemed to be something--whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows partiality to no man--so to me, those with influence contributed nothing,

But when I saw that they did not act rightly with respect to the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them all, "If you, being a Jew, live in Gentile fashion and not in Jewish fashion, why do you compel the Gentiles to live as Jews?

And I will render your pillars desolate, and will utterly destroy your wooden [images] made with hands; and I will lay your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and My soul shall loathe you.

But thus shall you do to them: you shall destroy their altars, and shall break down their pillars, and cut down their groves, and you shall burn with fire the graven images of their gods.

He removed the high places, and broke in pieces the pillars, and utterly destroyed the groves, and the bronze serpent which Moses made, because until those days the children of Israel burned incense to it; and he called it Nehushtan.

And the altars that were on the roof of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the Lord, did the king pull down and forcibly remove from there, and cast their dust into the Brook of Kidron.

And he broke in pieces the pillars, and utterly destroyed the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men.

And he pulled down the altars of the Baals that were in his presence, and the high places that were above them; and he cut down the groves, and the graven images, and broke in pieces the molten images, and reduced them to powder, and cast [it] upon the surface of the tombs of those who [had] sacrificed to them.

And having taken the calf which they made, he consumed it with fire, and ground it very small, and scattered it on the water, and made the children of Israel to drink it.

And your sin which you had made, the calf, I took [it], and I burned it with fire, and pounded it and ground it down till it became fine; and it became like dust, and I cast the dust into the brook that descended from the mountain.

And the city was burned with fire,with all the things that were in it: only of the silver, gold, brass, and iron, they gave to be brought into the treasury of the Lord.

And all the country wept with a loud voice. And all the people passed by over the Brook of Kidron; and the king crossed the Brook Kidron. And all the people and the king passed on toward the way of the wilderness.

And he carried out the grove from the house of the Lord to the Brook Kidron, and burned it at the Brook Kidron, and reduced it to powder, and cast its powder on the tombs of the sons of the people.

After saying these things, Jesus went out with His disciples across the winter stream Kidron, where there [was] a garden, into which He and His disciples entered.
