And he cried against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said, O altar, altar, thus says the Lord: Behold, a son is [to be] born to the house of David, Josiah by name; and he shall offer upon you the priests of the high places, [even] of them that sacrifice upon you, and [he] shall burn men's bones upon you.

And Josiah turned aside, and saw the tombs that were there in the city, and sent, and took the bones out of the tombs, and burned them on the altar, and defiled it, according to the word of the Lord which the man of God spoke, when Jeroboam stood by the altar at the feast; and he turned and raised his eyes to the tomb of the man of God that spoke these words.

And he said, Let him alone; let no one disturb his bones. So his bones were spared, together with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria.

And he put one in Bethel, and he put the other in Dan.

And he made houses on the high places, and made priests of any part of the people, who were not of the sons of Levi.

And I will render your pillars desolate, and will utterly destroy your wooden [images] made with hands; and I will lay your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols, and My soul shall loathe you.

And Omri bought the mount of Samaria from Shemer the lord of the mountain for two talents of silver; and he built [upon] the mountain, and they called the name of the mountain [on] which he built, after the name of Shemer the lord of the mount, Samaria.

And the men of the army whom Amaziah sent back so that they should not go with him to battle, [went] and attacked the cities of Judah, from Samaria to Beth Horon; and they killed three thousand among them, and took much spoil.

and the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Osnapper removed, and settled them in the cities of Samaria, and the rest [of them] beyond the river.

But He needed to pass through Samaria.

Therefore He came to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near the piece of land which Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
