And now [as] the Lord lives who has established me, and set me on the throne of my father David, and He has made me a house, as the Lord spoke, this day shall Adonijah be put to death.

And Elijah the prophet, the Tishbite, of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, As the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand, there shall not be these years dew nor rain, except by the word of my mouth.

[As] the Lord your God lives, there is not a nation or kingdom where my lord has not sent to seek you; and if they said, He is not [here], then has he set fire to the kingdom and its territories, because he has not found you.

And Gideon said, They were my brothers and the sons of my mother: as the Lord lives, if you had preserved them alive, I would not have slain you.

For as the Lord lives who has saved Israel, if [the] answer should be against my son Jonathan, he shall surely die. And there was no one that answered out of all the people.

And the people said to Saul, Shall he that has accomplished this great salvation in Israel be put to death this day? [As] the Lord lives, there shall not fall to the ground one of the hairs of his head; for the people of God have done good this day. And the people prayed for Jonathan in that day, and he died not.

And Saul heeded the voice of Jonathan; and Saul swore, saying, [As] the Lord lives, he shall not die.

And behold, I will send a lad, saying, Go find me the arrow.

And David was greatly moved with anger against the man; and David said to Nathan, [As] the Lord lives, the man that did this thing shall surely die.

And the mother of the child said, [As] the Lord lives and [as] your soul lives, I will not leave you. And Elisha arose, and went after her.

And Elisha said, [As] the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will not take [anything]. And he pressed him to take [something]; but he would not.

And Gehazi the servant of Elisha said, Behold, my Lord has spared this Syrian Naaman, so as not to take of his hand what he has brought; as the Lord lives, I will surely run after him, and take something from him.

the angel who delivers me from all evils, bless these boys, and my name shall be called upon them, and the name of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac; and let them be increased to a great multitude on the earth.

And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Berothite, and said to them, [As] the Lord lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all affliction;

Many are the afflictions of the righteous; but out of them all the Lord shall deliver them.

The death of sinners is evil; and they that hate righteousness will go wrong.

He shall redeem their souls from oppression and injustice, and their name [shall be] precious before Him.

and redeemed us from our enemies; for His mercy [endures] forever.

Though I should walk in the midst of affliction, You will revive me; You have stretched forth Your hands against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand has saved me.
