And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

[ 3:16] And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her Seed, He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.

Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, in Your comeliness, and in Your beauty;

Your weapons are sharpened, O Mighty One, (the nations shall fall under You) [they are] in the heart of the king's enemies.

For I have come to 'turn a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law';

and 'a man's enemies [will be] his own household members.'

For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these things oppose each other, so that you do not do the things that you wish.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual [forces] of evil in the heavenlies.

And the battle was very severe in that day; and Abner and the men of Israel were beaten before the servants of David.

And Haman related the events that had befallen him to Zeresh his wife, and to [his] friends. Though then your beginning should be small, yet your end should be unspeakably great.

But let the faithful hold on his own way, and let him that is pure of hands take courage.

They shall go from strength to strength; the God of gods shall be seen in Zion.

But the ways of the righteous shine like light; they go forth and shine, until the day has fully come.

But the ways of the ungodly are like darkness; they know not how they stumble.

You saw until a stone was cut out of a mountain without hands, and it struck the image upon its feet of iron and clay, and utterly reduced them to powder.

Then once for all the clay, the iron, the brass, the silver, and the gold were ground into powder, and became as chaff from the summer threshing floor. And the violence of the wind carried them away, and no place was found for them. And the stone which had struck the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and His kingdom shall not be left to another people, [but] it shall beat to pieces and grind to powder all [other] kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

Whereas you saw that a stone was cut out of a mountain without hands, and it beat to pieces the clay, the iron, the brass, the silver, and the gold; the great God has made known to the king what must happen hereafter: and the dream is true, and its interpretation is sure.

And behold, a white horse. And he who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering, and to conquer.
