Now Ephron was sitting in the midst of the children of Heth, and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham and spoke in the hearing of the sons of Heth, and of all who entered the city, saying,

Attend to me, my lord, and hear me, I give to you the field and the cave which is in it; I have given it to you before all my countrymen; bury your dead.

And Abraham bowed down before the people of the land.
13
And he said in the ears of Ephron before the people of the land, Since you are on my side, hear me; take the price of the field from me, and I will bury my dead there.
14
But Ephron answered Abraham, saying,

No, my lord, I have heard indeed, the land [is worth] four hundred silver shekels, but what can this be between me and you? So bury your dead.
16
And Abraham listened to Ephron, and Abraham rendered to Ephron the money, which he mentioned in the ears of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver approved with merchants.
1 Chronicles 21:22
And David said to Ornan, Give me your place of the threshing floor, and I will build upon it an altar to the Lord: give it to me for its worth in money, and the plague shall cease from [among] the people.
Jeremiah 32:6-14

And the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying,

Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallom your father's brother is coming to you, saying, Buy my field that is in Anathoth: for you [have] the right of redemption, to buy [it].

So Hanamel the son of Shallom my father's brother came to me into the court of the prison, and said, Buy my field that is in the land of Benjamin, in Anathoth: for you [have] a right to buy it, and you are the elder. So I knew that it was the word of the Lord.

And I bought the field of Hanamel the son of my father's brother, and I weighed him seventeen shekels of silver.
10
And I wrote [it] in a book, and sealed [it], and took the testimony of witnesses, and weighed the money in the balance.

And I took the book of the purchase that was sealed;
12
and I gave it to Baruch son of Neriah, son of Mahseiah, in the sight of Hanamel my father's brother's son, and in the sight of the men that stood by and wrote in the book of the purchase, and in the sight of the Jews that were in the court of the prison.

And I charged Baruch in their presence, saying, Thus says the Lord Almighty:

Take this book of the purchase, and the book that has been read; and you shall put it into an earthen vessel, that it may remain many days.

2 Samuel 21:3-14

And David said to the Gibeonites, What shall I do for you? And with what shall I make atonement, that you may bless the inheritance of the Lord?

And the Gibeonites said to him, We have no [question about] silver or gold with Saul and with his house; and there is no man for us to put to death in Israel.

And he said, What do you ask? Speak, and I will do it for you. And they said to the king, The man who would have made an end of us, and persecuted us, who plotted against us to destroy us, let us utterly destroy him, so that he shall have no standing in all the coasts of Israel.

Let one give us seven men of his sons, and let us hang them up in the sun to the Lord in Gibeah of Saul, as chosen out for the Lord. And the king said, I will give [them].

But the king spared Memphibosheth son of Jonathan the son of Saul, because of the oath of the Lord that was between them, even between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.

And the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bore to Saul, Armoni and Memphibosheth, and the five sons of Michal daughter of Saul, whom she bore to Adriel son of Barzillai the Meholathite.

And he gave them into the hand of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them up to the sun in the mountain before the lord. And they fell, even the seven together. Moreover they were put to death in the days of harvest at the commencement, in the beginning of the barley harvest.

And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth, and fixed it for herself on the rock in the beginning of the barley harvest, until water dropped upon them out of heaven. And she did not allow the birds of the air to rest upon them by day, nor the beasts of the field by night.

And it was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah the concubine of Saul had done (and they were faint, and Dan, the son of Joa of the offspring of the giants overtook them).

And David went and took the bones of Saul, and the bones of Jonathan his son, from the men of the sons of Jabesh Gilead, who stole them from the street of Beth Shan; for the Philistines set them there in the day in which the Philistines killed Saul in Gilboa.

And he carried up from there the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son, and gathered the bones of them that had been hanged.

And they buried the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son, and the bones of them that had been hanged, in the land of Benjamin in the hill, in the tomb of Kish his father; and they did all things that the king commanded. And after this God hearkened to [the prayers of] the land.
Numbers 16:47-50

And Aaron did as Moses spoke to him, and ran among the congregation, for already the plague had begun among the people; and he put in the incense, and made an atonement for the people.
48
And he stood between the dead and the living, and the plague ceased.
49
And those that died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those that died on account of Korah.

And Aaron returned to Moses to the door of the tabernacle of witness, and the plague ceased.
Numbers 25:8
and went in after the Israelite man into the chamber, and pierced them both through, both the Israelite man, and the woman through her womb; and the plague was stopped from the children of Israel.
Psalm 106:30
Then Phinehas stood up and made atonement, and the plague ceased.
