And Israel said to Joseph, Behold, I die; and God shall be with you, and restore you to the land of your fathers.

But I hasten to go the way [of death], as all that are upon the earth also [do.] And you know in your heart and in your soul, that not one word has fallen [to the ground] of all the words which the Lord our God has spoken respecting all that concerns us; there has not one of them failed.

"Lord, now You are releasing Your servant in peace, according to Your word;

for my eyes have seen Your salvation

For I am already being poured out [as a drink offering], and the time of my departure has arrived.

knowing that the putting off of my tent is soon, just as our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.

But I will sleep with my fathers, and you shall carry me up out of Egypt, and bury me in their tomb. And he said, I will do according to your word.

And he said to them, I am added to my people; you shall bury me with my fathers in the cave, which is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac, and Rebecca his wife; there they buried Leah;

So his sons carried him up into the land of Canaan, and buried him in the double cave which Abraham bought for possession of a burying place from Ephrom the Hittite, before Mamre.

but have returned, and eaten bread and drunk water in the place of which He spoke to you, saying, You shall not eat bread, and shall not drink water; [therefore] your body shall by no means enter into the tomb of your fathers.

And the king went over to Gilgal and Chimham went over with him. And all the men of Judah went over with the king, and also half the people of Israel.

But you shall deal kindly with the sons of Barzillai the Gileadite, and they shall be among those that eat at your table; for thus they drew near to me when I fled from the face of your brother Absalom.

and they departed, and dwelt in Chimham, which is by Bethlehem, to go into Egypt, for fear of the Chaldeans;
