And His feet shall stand in that day on the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall be split in two, from east to west, a very great division; half the mountain shall lean to the north, and half of it to the south.

And it came to pass, as He drew near to Bethsphage and Bethany, to the mountain which is called Olivet, that He sent two of His disciples,

And as He was approaching the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the miracles which they had seen,

And in the daytime He was teaching in the temple, but at night He went out and stayed on the mountain called Olivet.

And going out, He went to the Mount of Olives, according to His custom, and His disciples also followed Him.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey.

My tears have been bread to me day and night, while they daily said to me, Where is your God?

Why are you downcast, O my soul? And why do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to Him; [He is] the salvation of my countenance.

Deep calls to deep at the sound of Your waterfalls; all Your billows and Your waves have gone over me.

I will say to God, You are my helper; why have You forgotten me? Why do I mourn, while the enemy oppresses [me]?

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to Him; [He is] the health of my countenance, and my God.

A Psalm of David. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause, against an ungodly nation; deliver me from the unjust and crafty;

for You are my strength; why have You cast me off? And why do I go mourning, while the enemy oppresses [me]?

And as He drew near, seeing the city, He wept over it,

And the king hid his face. And the king cried with a loud voice, My son Absalom! Absalom my son!

And Mordecai returned to the palace. But Haman went home mourning, and covered his head.

And her nobles have sent their little ones to the water: they came to the wells, and found no water: and brought back their vessels empty.

And the labors of the land failed, because there was no rain: the plowmen were ashamed; they covered their heads.

then the Lord spoke to Isaiah the son of Amoz, saying, Go and take the sackcloth off your loins, and loose your sandals from off your feet, and do thus, going naked and barefoot.

for thus shall the king of the Assyrians lead the captivity of Egypt and the Ethiopians, young men and old, naked and barefoot, having the shame of Egypt exposed.

You shall groan for blood, and have mourning upon your loins; your hair shall not be braided upon you, and your sandals [shall be] on your feet; you shall by no means be comforted by their lips, and you shall not eat the bread of men.

And your hair [shall be] upon your head, and your shoes on your feet; neither shall you at all lament or weep, but you shall pine away in your iniquities, and shall comfort everyone his brother.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

They went on and wept as they cast their seeds; but they shall surely come with exaltation, bringing their sheaves [with them].

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Rejoice with those that rejoice, and weep with those that weep.

And if one part suffers, all the parts suffer together; or if one part is honored, all the parts rejoice together.
