And Rechab and Baanah, the sons of Rimmon the Berothite set out, and they came in the heat of the day into the house of Ishbosheth; and he was sleeping on a bed at noon.

And Ishbosheth was sleeping on his bed in his chamber. And they struck him, and killed him, and took off his head. And they took his head, and went all the night by the western road.

Cowardice possesses the effeminate man, and the soul of the sluggard shall hunger.

The sluggard says, I slumber a little, and I sleep a little, and for a little while I fold my arms across my breast.

But if you do this, your poverty will come speedily; and your need like a swift courier.

Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "What? Were you not strong [enough] to watch with Me one hour?

Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. Indeed the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."

Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.

For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those getting drunk, are drunk at night.

Now the end of all things is at hand; therefore be of sound mind and self-controlled in your prayers.

If you should build a new house, then shall you make a parapet to your house; so you shall not bring blood-guiltiness upon your house, if one should in any way fall from it.

And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah shall be as a ruinous place, because of their uncleanness in all the houses, in which they burnt incense upon their roofs to all the host of heaven, and poured [out] drink offerings to strange gods.

Now on the next day, as they were traveling and drawing near to the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, [at] about the sixth hour.

[ 3:7] And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes to look upon and beautiful to contemplate, and having taken of its fruit she ate, and she gave to her husband also with her, and they ate.

[ 6:3] that the sons of God, having seen the daughters of men, that they were beautiful, took to themselves wives of all whom they chose.

And Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the ruler of the land, saw her, he took her and lay with her, and violated her.

I made a covenant with my eyes, and I will not think upon a virgin.

Turn away my eyes that I may not behold vanity; revive me in Your way.

But I say to you, that whoever looks at a woman in order to lust after her has already committed adultery [with] her in his heart.

Because everything that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not from the Father but is from the world.

And he committed all that he had into the hands of Joseph; and he knew not of anything that belonged to him, except the bread which he himself ate. And Joseph was handsome in form, and exceedingly beautiful in countenance.

Let not the desire of beauty overcome you, neither be caught by her eyes, or captivated with her eyelids.

Charms are false, and woman's beauty is vain: for it is a wise woman that is blessed, and let her praise the fear the Lord.
