And David said to Joab and to all the people with him, tear your clothes, and put on sackcloth, and lament over Abner. And King David followed the coffin.

Then the king arose, and tore his clothes, and lay upon the ground. And all his servants that were standing round him tore their clothes.

And Reuben returned to the pit, and did not see Joseph in the pit; and he tore his clothes.

[ 37:33] And Jacob tore his clothes, and put sackcloth on his loins, and mourned for his son many days.

But when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard this, they tore their garments and rushed in to the crowd, crying out

Rejoice with those that rejoice, and weep with those that weep.
