And they said, No, but shall they treat our sister as a harlot?

And his concubine departed from him, and went away from him to the house of her father to Bethlehem Judah, and she was there four months.

And I find her [to be], and I will pronounce [to be] more bitter than death, the woman which is a snare, and her heart nets, [who has] a band in her hands. [He that is] good in the sight of God shall be delivered from her; but the sinner shall be caught by her.

For of old you have broken your yoke, and plucked asunder your bands; and you have said, I will not serve You, but will go upon every high hill, and under every shady tree, there will I indulge in my fornication.

If a man put away his wife, and she depart from him, and become another man's, shall she return to him anymore? Shall not that woman be utterly defiled? But you have played the harlot with many shepherds, and have returned to Me, says the Lord.

And the Lord said to me in the days of Josiah the king, Have you seen what things the house of Israel has done to Me? They have gone on every high mountain, and under every shady tree, and have committed fornication there.

And I saw that (for all the sins of which she was convicted, wherein the house of Israel committed adultery, and I put her away, and gave into her hands a certificate of divorce) yet faithless Judah feared not, but went and also committed fornication herself.

But you trusted in your beauty, and went a-whoring because of your fame, and poured out your fornication on every passer by.

And you went a-whoring to the daughters of Assyria, and not even then were you satisfied; yea, you went a-whoring, and were not satisfied.

And they shall burn your houses with fire, and shall execute vengeance on you in the sight of many women; and I will turn you back from harlotry, and I will no more give [you] rewards.

And Oholah went a-whoring from Me, and doted on her lovers, on the Assyrians that were her neighbors,

And you multiplied your fornication, so as to call to remembrance the days of your youth, in which you committed harlotry in Egypt,

And they went in to her, as [men] go in to a harlot; so they went in to Oholah and to Oholibah, to work iniquity.

And their mother went a-whoring: she that bore them disgraced [them]: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, and my garments, and my linen clothes, my oil and my necessaries.

And I said unto her, You shall wait for me many days; and you shall not commit fornication, neither shall you be for [another] man; and I [will be] for you.

But you, O Israel, be not ignorant, and go not to Gilgal, O [men of] Judah, and go not up to the house of On, and swear not by the living Lord.

And God came to Abimelech by night in his sleep, and said, Behold, you'll die for the woman whom you have taken, for she has lived with a husband.

But now return the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and [he] shall pray for you, and you shall live; but if you restore her not, know that you and all yours shall die.

And Abimelech called Abraham and said to him, What is this that you have done to us? Have we sinned against you, that you have brought upon me and upon my kingdom a great sin? You have done to me a deed, which no one ought to do.

Whatever man shall commit adultery with the wife of a man, or whoever shall commit adultery with the wife of his neighbor, let them die the death, the adulterer and the adulteress.

And if the daughter of a priest should be profaned to go a whoring, she profanes the name of her father: she shall be burned with fire.

then shall they bring out the young woman to the doors of her father's house, and shall stone her with stones, and she shall die; because she has wrought folly among the children of Israel, to defile the house of her father by harlotry: so you shall remove the evil one from among you.

And if there be a young woman espoused to a man, and a man should have found her in the city and have lain with her;

But if a man find in the field a young woman that is betrothed, and he should force her and lie with her, you shall slay the man that lay with her only.

because he found her in the field; the betrothed young woman cried, and there was none to help her.

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, and the sons shall not be put to death for the fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin.

And David was greatly moved with anger against the man; and David said to Nathan, [As] the Lord lives, the man that did this thing shall surely die.

And Nathan said to David, You are the man that has done this! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: I anointed you to be king over Israel, and I rescued you out the hand of Saul;

And they shall make of them a curse in all the captivity of Judah in Babylon, saying, The Lord do to you as He did to Zedekiah, and as He did to Ahab, whom the king of Babylon fried in the fire;

because of the iniquity which they wrought in Israel, and [because] they committed adultery with the wives of their fellow citizens, and spoke a word in My name, which I did not command them [to speak], and I am witness, says the Lord.

"Judge not, lest you be judged.

And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not notice the plank in your own eye?

Hypocrite! First remove the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.

Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, everyone who judges, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself, for you who judge are practicing the same things.

But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those practicing such things.

Do you have faith? By yourself, have it before God. Blessed is he that does not condemn himself in what he approves.
