And the servant, having brought forth jewels of silver and gold and raiment, gave them to Rebecca, and gave gifts to her brother, and to her mother.

And Jacob loved Rachel, and said, I will serve you seven years for your younger daughter Rachel.

These twenty years have I been in your house; I served you fourteen years for your two daughters, and six years among your sheep, and you falsely changed my wages for ten lambs.

And if anyone deceive a virgin that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her for a wife to himself.

And if her father positively refuses, and will not consent to give her to him for a wife, he shall pay compensation to her father according to the amount of the dowry of virgins.

And if anyone should find a young virgin who has not been betrothed, and should force [her] and lie with her, and be found,

the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the damsel fifty silver shekels, and she shall be his wife, because he has humbled her; he shall never be able to put her away.

And Saul said, Thus shall you speak to David: The king wants no gift but one hundred foreskins of the Philistines, to avenge himself on the kings enemies. Now Saul thought to cast him into the hands of the Philistines.

And David arose, and went, he and his men, and killed among the Philistines one hundred men. And he brought their foreskins, and he became the king's son-in-law, and [Saul] gave him Michal his daughter as a wife.

And David sent messengers to Ishbosheth the son of Saul, saying, Restore me my wife Michal, whom I took for a hundred foreskins of the Philistines.

So I hired [her] to myself for fifteen [pieces] of silver, and a homer of barley, and a flagon of wine.

And they said to Him, "We do not have [anything] here except five loaves of bread and two fish."
