And I was not counted worthy to embrace my children and my daughters. Now then you have done foolishly.

And Esau ran on to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him; and they both wept.

And they lifted up their voice, and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law and returned to her people; but Ruth followed her.

And they blessed Rebecca, and said to her, You are our sister; [may] you become [the mother] of thousands and thousands, and let your seed possess the cities of their enemies.

And Isaac, having called for Jacob, blessed him, and charged him, saying, You shall not take a wife of the daughters of the Canaanites.

And God put a word into the mouth of Balaam, and said, you shall return to Balak, and thus shall you speak.

How can I curse whom the Lord has not cursed? Or how can I denounce whom God has not denounced?

And Balak said to Balaam, What have you done to me? I called you to curse my enemies, and behold you have greatly blessed [them]!

But the Lord your God would not hearken to Balaam; and the Lord your God changed the curses into blessings, because the Lord your God loved you.

[ 16:5A] The beginning of a good way is to do justly, and it is more acceptable with God than to offer sacrifices.

And the Lord departed, when He left off speaking to Abraham, and Abraham returned to his place.

And it came to pass when Rachel had born Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, Send me away, that I may go to my place and to my land.

And Balaam rose up and departed and returned to his place, and Balak went to his own home.

For the Lord shall judge His people, and shall be comforted over His servants; for He saw that they were utterly weakened, and failed in the hostile invasion, and have become feeble.

For the inward thought of man shall give thanks to You, and the memorial of his inward thought shall keep a feast to You.

And when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "Certainly this man is a murderer, whom though he was rescued from the sea, justice does not permit to continue living."

Then, having shaken off the creature into the fire, he suffered nothing harmful.
