What advantage [is there] to a man in all his labor that he takes under the sun?

And I applied my heart to seek out and examine by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven, for God has given to the sons of men a burdensome task to be afflicted with.

Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working that which is good with his hands, in order that he may have something to share with him who has need.

For you remember, brothers, our labor and toil; for laboring night and day, that we might not be a burden to any of you, we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.

For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat!

and said, I myself came forth naked from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away. As it seemed good to the Lord, so has it come to pass; blessed be the name of the Lord.

Turn not man back to [his] low place, whereas You said, Return, you sons of men?

But when You have turned away Your face, they shall be troubled; You will take away their breath, and they shall fail, and return to their dust.

As he came forth naked from his mother's womb, he shall return back as he came, and he shall receive nothing for his labor, that it should go [with him] in his hand.

And God formed the man of the dust of the earth, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

And Abraham answered and said, Now I have begun to speak to my Lord, and I am [but] dust and ashes.

I am a sojourner and a stranger among you. Therefore give me possession of a burying-place among you, and I will bury my dead away from me.

For if I remain, Hades is my habitation: and my bed has been made in darkness.

Where then is yet my hope? Or where shall I see my good?

[and] to raise up upon the earth my skin that endures these [sufferings]: for these things have been accomplished to me of the Lord;

But they lie down in the dust together, and corruption covers them.

all flesh would die together, and every mortal would return to the earth, from where he was formed.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and My tongue is glued to My throat; and You have brought Me down to the dust of death.

All the fat ones of the earth have eaten and worshipped; all that go down to the earth shall fall down before Him; my soul also lives to him.

But when You have turned away Your face, they shall be troubled; You will take away their breath, and they shall fail, and return to their dust.

A man that wanders out of the way of righteousness shall rest in the congregation of giants.

All [go] to one place; all were formed of the dust, and all will return to dust.

[before] the dust also return to the earth as it was, and the spirit return to God who gave it.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to reproach and everlasting shame.

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death passed to all men, because all sinned--

Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who did not sin according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come.

And the gift is not as by one having sinned. For the judgment [which came] from one [offense resulted] in condemnation, but the free gift from many offenses resulted in justification.

Therefore, as through one [man's] offense [judgment came] to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one [Man's] righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life.

But [the] law came in alongside, so that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace superabounded,

For since by a man death [came], also by a Man comes the resurrection of the dead.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all will be made alive.
