And Jacob said to his father, I, Esau your firstborn, have done as you told me: come, sit and eat of my venison, that your soul may bless me.

And Isaac said to Jacob, Come close to me, and I will feel you, son, if you are my son Esau or not.

And he knew him not, for his hands were as the hands of his brother Esau, hairy; and he blessed him,

Now then, call all the prophets of Baal, call all his servants and his priests to me; let not a man be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice [to offer] to Baal; everyone who shall be missing shall die. But Jehu acted deceptively, that he might destroy the servants of Baal.

Do you not speak before the Lord, and utter deceit before Him?

Have you not all one Father? Did not one God create you? Why have you forsaken every man his brother, to profane the covenant of your fathers?

For if by my lie the truth of God has abounded to His glory, why am I also still judged as a sinner?

And why not say, "Let us do evil so that good may come"?--just as we are slandered, and just as some affirm that we say. [The] judgment of whom is just.

But we have this treasure in clay vessels, so that the extraordinary character of the power may be of God and not of us;

that no one should transgress against and to defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger concerning all, just as we told you before and solemnly testified.
