And Isaac sowed in that land, and he found barley in that year, and reaped one hundred fold, and the Lord blessed him.

And he had herds of sheep, and herds of oxen, and many tilled lands, and the Philistines envied him.

And Abraham journeyed from there to the southern country, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go; I will fix My eyes upon you.

[A Psalm] of David. Do not fret because of evildoers, neither be envious of them that do iniquity.

Hope in the Lord, and do good; and dwell on the land, and you shall be fed with the wealth of it.

Disclose Your way to the Lord, and trust in Him; and He shall bring [it] to pass.

O Lord, hearken to my prayer and my supplication; attend to my tears; be not silent, for I am a sojourner in the land, and a stranger, as all my fathers [were].

By faith he migrated into a land of promise as [in] a foreign [land], dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the fellow heirs of the same promise;

These all died according to faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off and welcoming [them], and confessing that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

And indeed if they had remembered that land from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to turn back.

And behold, I am with you, to preserve you continually wherever you shall go; and I will bring you back to this land; for I will not desert you, until I have done all that I have said to you.

And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house with his master the Egyptian.

And the Lord was with Joseph, and poured down mercy upon him; and He gave him favor in the sight of the chief keeper of the prison.

And if you pass through water, I am with you; and the rivers shall not overflow you; and if you go through the fire, you shall not be burned; the flame shall not burn you.

Fear not; for I am with you; I will bring your seed from the east, and will gather you from the west.

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, practice these things; and the God of peace shall be with you.

And the Lord said to Abram, Go forth out of your land, and out from your family, and out of the house of your father, into the land which I will show you.

Then the Lord appeared to Abram, and said to him, I will give this land to your seed. And Abram built an altar there to the Lord who appeared to him.

for all the land which you see, I will give to you and to your seed forever.

Arise, walk in the land, both in the length of it and in the breadth; for to you will I give it, and to your seed forever.

In that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your seed I will give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.

And I will give to you and to your seed after you the land in which you sojourn, even all the land of Canaan for an everlasting possession, and I will be to them a God.

I have sworn by Myself, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and on My account have not spared your beloved son,

And in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.

which He established as a covenant to Abraham, and [He remembered] His oath to Isaac.

He shall give blessings truly to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers, according to the former days.

Thus God, wanting to show even more clearly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness of His counsel, guaranteed it by an oath,
