Know that the Lord, He is God; He made us, and not we ourselves; [we are] His people, and the sheep of His pasture.

I will give You thanks; for You are fearfully wondrous; wondrous are Your works; and my soul knows [it] well.

My bones, which You made in secret, were not hidden from You, nor my substance, in the lowest parts of the earth.

And now, O Lord, You are our Father, and we are clay, all [of us] the work of Your hands.

[ 3:20] In the sweat of your face shall you eat your bread until you return to the ground out of which you were taken, for dust you are, and to dust you shall return.

[ 3:24] so the Lord God sent him forth out of the garden of Delight, to cultivate the ground out of which he was taken.

But as [for] them that dwell in houses of clay, of whom we also are formed of the same clay, He smites them like a moth.

You are formed out of the clay as I also: we have been formed out of the same substance.

For He knows our frame; [He] remembers that we are dust.

a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to be silent, and a time to speak;

All [go] to one place; all were formed of the dust, and all will return to dust.

[before] the dust also return to the earth as it was, and the spirit return to God who gave it.

And now, O Lord, You are our Father, and we are clay, all [of us] the work of Your hands.

But indeed, O man, who are you to [be] answering back against God? Surely the thing formed will not say to him who formed it, "Why did you made me like this?"

The first man [was] from earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.

But we have this treasure in clay vessels, so that the extraordinary character of the power may be of God and not of us;

For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made by hand, eternal in the heavens.

verily, while my breath is yet in me, and the breath of God which remains to me is in my nostrils,

The Divine Spirit is that which formed me, and the breath of the Almighty [is] that which teaches me.

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit.

nor by the hands of men is He served, as though He needed anything, for He gives to all life, and breath, with respect to all things.

And all things which have the breath of life, and whatever was on the dry land, died.

And who has seen the spirit of the sons of men, whether it goes upward? And the spirit of the beast, whether it goes downward to the earth?

And they fell on their faces, and said, O God, the God of spirits and of all flesh, if one man has sinned, [shall] the wrath of the Lord [be] upon the whole congregation?

Let the Lord God of spirits and of all flesh look out for a man over this congregation,

The spirit of man is a light of the Lord, who searches the inmost parts of the belly.

The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel. Thus says the Lord, that stretches out the sky, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him.

Thus also it is written, "The first man Adam [became] a living soul;" the last Adam [became] a life-giving spirit.

Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we respected [them]. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
