But it is good for me to cleave close to God, to put my trust in the Lord; that I may proclaim all Your praises in the gates of the daughter of Zion.

And their mighty ones shall be over them, and their prince shall proceed of themselves; and I will gather them, and they shall return to Me; for who is this that has set his heart to return to Me? Says the Lord.

let us approach with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies having been washed with clean water.

Elijah was a man of similar nature to us, and with a prayer, he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and it did not rain upon the land for three years and six months.

Far be it from You to do such at thing, so as to destroy the righteous with the wicked, so the righteous shall be as the wicked: far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

But Abimelech had not touched her, and he said, Lord, will You destroy an ignorantly [sinning] and just nation?

And they fell on their faces, and said, O God, the God of spirits and of all flesh, if one man has sinned, [shall] the wrath of the Lord [be] upon the whole congregation?

And David spoke to the Lord when he saw the angel smiting the people, and he said, Behold, it is I that has done wrong, but these sheep, what have they done? Let Your hand be upon me, I pray, and upon my father's house.

Will the Lord be unjust when He judges; or will He that has made all things pervert justice?

Behold then the One that hates iniquities, and that destroys the wicked, who is forever just.

The Lord is in His holy temple; as for the Lord, His throne is in heaven: His eyes look upon the poor, His eyelids test the sons of men.

He shall rain upon sinners snares, fire, and brimstone, and a stormy blast [shall be] the portion of their cup.

But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? [Surely] God, the [One] inflicting wrath is not unrighteous, is [He]? (I speak as a man.)

Certainly not! For otherwise how shall God judge the world?
