And the Lord God said to Cain, Where is Abel your brother? And he said, I do not know- am I my brother's keeper?

Say, therefore, I am his sister, that it may be well with me on account of you, and my soul shall live because of you.

But he looked at her, and said to her, You have spoken like one of the foolish women. If we have received good things of the hand of the Lord, shall we not endure evil things? In all these things that happened to him, Job sinned not with his lips before God.

He that covers his own ungodliness shall not prosper, but he that blames [himself] shall be loved.

Then the servant girl who kept the door said to Peter, "You are not also one of this Man's disciples, [are you]?" He said, "I am not."

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. Therefore they said to him, "You are not also [one] of His disciples, [are you]?" Then he denied it and said, "I am not!"

Peter then denied again; and immediately a rooster crowed.

and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,

Do not lie to one another, since you have stripped off the old man with his practices,

If we claim that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

for He knows the secrets of the heart.

True lips establish testimony, but a hasty witness has an unjust tongue.

And immediately, when Jesus recognized in His spirit that they were reasoning thus among themselves, He said to them, "Why are you reasoning these things in your hearts?

and had no need that anyone should testify concerning man, for He himself knew what was in man.

Now we know that as many things as the law says, it speaks to those under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
