And His place has been in peace, and His dwelling place in Zion.

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

to whom also Abraham divided a tenth from all, first being interpreted "king of righteousness," and then also king of Salem, which is "king of peace,"

And as they were eating, Jesus took the bread, and giving thanks, He broke [it], and gave [it] to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is My body."

for this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many, for the forgiveness of sins.

So then, as we have opportunity, let us work what is good toward all, but especially toward those who are of the household of faith.

The Lord has sworn, and will not relent, You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.

Just as He also says in another place: "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek";

having been designated by God a High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek,"

where the Forerunner has entered in behalf of us, [even] Jesus, having become a High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,

without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but having been made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.

for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.

For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there occurs a change of law also.

For it is evident that our Lord has risen out of Judah, regarding which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.

who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life.

For on the one hand an annulment comes about of the preceding commandment on account of its weakness and uselessness.

And inasmuch as [it was] not without oath taking,

by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.

And Boaz said, Blessed [are] you of the Lord God, [my] daughter, for you have made your latter kindness greater than the former, in that you followed not after young men, whether [any be] poor or rich.

And David sent messengers to the rulers of Jabesh of the country of Gilead, and David said to them, Blessed are you of the Lord, because you have shown this mercy toward your lord, even toward Saul the anointed of the Lord, and you have buried him and Jonathan his son.

I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness; I will sing to the name of the Lord Most High.

Offer to God the sacrifice of praise; and pay your vows to the Most High.

I will cry to God Most High; the God who has benefited me. Pause.

With what shall I reach the Lord, and lay hold of my God most high? Shall I reach Him by whole burnt offerings, by calves of a year old?

However, the Most High does not dwell in handmaid sanctuaries, just as the prophet says:

This girl, following after Paul and us, was crying out, saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation."
