[ 3:23] And God said, Behold, Adam has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest at any time he stretch forth his hand, and take of the tree of life and eat, and so he shall live forever-

Go, and cry to the gods whom you have chosen to yourselves, and let them save you in the time of your affliction.

And it was noon, and Elijah the Tishbite mocked them, and said, Call with a loud voice, for he is a god; for he is meditating, or else perhaps he is engaged in business, or perhaps he is asleep, and needs to be awakened.

Rejoice, O young man, in your youth; and let your heart cheer in the days of your youth, and walk in the ways of your heart blameless, but not in the sight of your eyes: yet know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

And all the earth had one language, and one speech.

These three are the sons of Noah, of these were men scattered over all the earth.

And He made from one blood every nation of men to dwell upon all the face of the earth, and He ordained their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,

[ 6:6] And the Lord God, having seen that the wicked actions of men were multiplied upon the earth, and that everyone in his heart was intently brooding over evil continually,

And the Lord God smelled an aroma of sweetness, and the Lord God having considered, said, I will never again curse the earth, because of the works of men, because the imagination of man is intently bent upon evil things from his youth, I will never again smite all living flesh as I have done.

Why did the heathen rage, and the nations imagine vain things?

[saying], Let us break through Their bonds, and cast away Their yoke from us.

He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
