And Lot dwelt in a city of the neighboring people, and pitched his tent in Sodom.

And God said to Abram after Lot was separated from him, Look up with your eyes, and behold from the place where you now are northward and southward, and eastward and seaward;

And I will make your seed like the dust of the earth; if anyone is able to number the dust of the earth, then shall your seed be numbered.

In that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, To your seed I will give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates.

the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephaim,

Command the children of Israel, and you shall say to them, You are entering into the land of Canaan: it shall be to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan with its boundaries.

For the tribe of the children of Reuben, and the tribe of the children of Gad have received [their inheritance] according to their families; and the half-tribe of Mannasseh have received their inheritances.

When the Most High divided the nations, when He separated the sons of Adam, He set the bounds of the nations according to the number of the angels of God.

And these [are] the kings of the Amorites, whom Joshua and the children of Israel killed beyond the Jordan by the sea of Balagad in the plain of Lebanon, and as far as the mountain of Halak, as men go up to Seir. And Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel to inherit according to their portion.

And the name of Hebron before formerly was Kirjath Arba, it [is] the metropolis of the Anakim. And the land rested from war.

And Lot, having lifted up his eyes, observed all the country round about the Jordan, that it was all watered, before God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, as the garden of the Lord, and as the land of Egypt, until you come to Zoar.

And Abraham journeyed from there to the southern country, and dwelt between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

And there was a famine in the land, besides the former famine, which was in the time of Abraham; and Isaac went to Abimelech the king of the Philistines to Gerar.

made war with Bera king of Sodom, and with Birsha king of Gomorrah, and with Shinab, king of Adamah, and with Shemeber king of Zeboiim and the king of Bela, (that is, Zoar).

And the Lord said, The cry of Sodom and Gomorrah has been increased towards Me, and their sins are very great.

And the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven.

And He overthrew these cities, and all the country round about, and all that dwelt in the cities, and the plants springing out of the ground.

How shall I deal with you, O Ephraim? [How] shall I protect you, O Israel? What shall I do with you? I will make you as Adamah, and as Zeboiim; My heart is turned at once, My repentance is powerfully excited.
