Jesus knew that they were about to come and seize him in order to make him king by force; so he went off again to the hills by himself.

After sending the people away, he went up a hill by himself to pray. When evening came, Jesus was there alone;

Jesus left there and went along by Lake Galilee. He climbed a hill and sat down.

At that time Jesus went up a hill to pray and spent the whole night there praying to God.

When day came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he named apostles:

About a week after he had said these things, Jesus took Peter, John, and James with him and went up a hill to pray.
