Then the man left and told the Jewish authorities that it was Jesus who had healed him.

So they began to persecute Jesus, because he had done this healing on a Sabbath.

Then they took to the Pharisees the man who had been blind.

Even though he had performed all these miracles in their presence, they did not believe in him,

The rich man answered, 'That is not enough, father Abraham! But if someone were to rise from death and go to them, then they would turn from their sins.'

But Abraham said, 'If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone were to rise from death.' "

Then a man came in and said to them, "Listen! The men you put in prison are in the Temple teaching the people!"
