and Jesus spoke up and asked the teachers of the Law and the Pharisees, "Does our Law allow healing on the Sabbath or not?"

And a human being is worth much more than a sheep! So then, our Law does allow us to help someone on the Sabbath."

Then he said to the man with the paralyzed hand, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and it became well again, just like the other one.

Then he asked the people, "What does our Law allow us to do on the Sabbath? To help or to harm? To save someone's life or to destroy it?" But they did not say a thing.

Moses gave you the Law, didn't he? But not one of you obeys the Law. Why are you trying to kill me?"

Jesus answered, "I performed one miracle, and you were all surprised.

If a boy is circumcised on the Sabbath so that Moses' Law is not broken, why are you angry with me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?

Then Jesus and his disciples went on to another village.
