Now here is this descendant of Abraham whom Satan has kept in bonds for eighteen years; should she not be released on the Sabbath?"

and so did some women who had been healed of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (who was called Magdalene), from whom seven demons had been driven out;

Then Satan left the LORD's presence and made sores break out all over Job's body.

I am worn out, O LORD; have pity on me! Give me strength; I am completely exhausted

As the men were leaving, some people brought to Jesus a man who could not talk because he had a demon.

But as soon as the demon was driven out, the man started talking, and everyone was amazed. "We have never seen anything like this in Israel!" they exclaimed.

As Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a man from the town who had demons in him. For a long time this man had gone without clothes and would not stay at home, but spent his time in the burial caves.

Among them was a woman who had suffered from severe bleeding for twelve years; she had spent all she had on doctors, but no one had been able to cure her.

"How long has he been like this?" Jesus asked the father. "Ever since he was a child," he replied.

A man was there who had been sick for thirty-eight years.

Jesus saw him lying there, and he knew that the man had been sick for such a long time; so he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"

and asked them, "Is this your son? You say that he was born blind; how is it, then, that he can now see?"

But we do not know how it is that he is now able to see, nor do we know who cured him of his blindness. Ask him; he is old enough, and he can answer for himself !"

There at the Beautiful Gate, as it was called, was a man who had been lame all his life. Every day he was carried to the gate to beg for money from the people who were going into the Temple.

The man on whom this miracle of healing had been performed was over forty years old.

In Lystra there was a crippled man who had been lame from birth and had never been able to walk.

and said in a loud voice, "Stand up straight on your feet!" The man jumped up and started walking around.

I am bent over, I am crushed; I mourn all day long.

Why am I so sad? Why am I so troubled? I will put my hope in God, and once again I will praise him, my savior and my God.

He helps those who are in trouble; he lifts those who have fallen.

and gives sight to the blind. He lifts those who have fallen; he loves his righteous people.
