Then Jesus spoke sternly to him and sent him away at once,

Jesus sternly ordered the evil spirits not to tell anyone who he was.

Then Jesus ordered the people not to speak of it to anyone; but the more he ordered them not to, the more they told it.

Then Jesus said to him, "Listen! Don't tell anyone, but go straight to the priest and let him examine you; then in order to prove to everyone that you are cured, offer the sacrifice that Moses ordered."

and their sight was restored. Jesus spoke sternly to them, "Don't tell this to anyone!"

and gave them orders not to tell others about him.

"Here is my servant, whom I have chosen, the one I love, and with whom I am pleased. I will send my Spirit upon him, and he will announce my judgment to the nations.

As they came down the mountain, Jesus ordered them, "Don't tell anyone about this vision you have seen until the Son of Man has been raised from death."

Her parents were astounded, but Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone what had happened.

"I am not looking for human praise.

He sat down to eat with them, took the bread, and said the blessing; then he broke the bread and gave it to them.

They gave him a piece of cooked fish,

which he took and ate in their presence.

not to everyone, but only to the witnesses that God had already chosen, that is, to us who ate and drank with him after he rose from death.
