Jesus had pity on them and touched their eyes; at once they were able to see, and they followed him.

After he said this, Jesus spat on the ground and made some mud with the spittle; he rubbed the mud on the man's eyes

and told him, "Go and wash your face in the Pool of Siloam." (This name means "Sent.") So the man went, washed his face, and came back seeing.

"Sir, my servant is sick in bed at home, unable to move and suffering terribly."

"I will go and make him well," Jesus said.

Then Jesus said to the officer, "Go home, and what you believe will be done for you." And the officer's servant was healed that very moment.

So Jesus answered her, "You are a woman of great faith! What you want will be done for you." And at that very moment her daughter was healed.

"Go," Jesus told him, "your faith has made you well." At once he was able to see and followed Jesus on the road.
