"When you come to a town or village, go in and look for someone who is willing to welcome you, and stay with him until you leave that place.

If the people in that house welcome you, let your greeting of peace remain; but if they do not welcome you, then take back your greeting.

but the men and women who are worthy to rise from death and live in the age to come will not then marry.

Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man."

But Paul and Barnabas spoke out even more boldly: "It was necessary that the word of God should be spoken first to you. But since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we will leave you and go to the Gentiles.

All of this proves that God's judgment is just and as a result you will become worthy of his Kingdom, for which you are suffering.

But a few of you there in Sardis have kept your clothes clean. You will walk with me, clothed in white, because you are worthy to do so.
