My children, listen to what your father teaches you. Pay attention, and you will have understanding.

Now listen to me, sons, and never forget what I am saying.

"Now, young people, listen to me. Do as I say, and you will be happy.

Listen to what you are taught. Be wise; do not neglect it.

I write this to you, not because I want to make you feel ashamed, but to instruct you as my own dear children.

For even if you have ten thousand guardians in your Christian life, you have only one father. For in your life in union with Christ Jesus I have become your father by bringing the Good News to you.

My dear children! Once again, just like a mother in childbirth, I feel the same kind of pain for you until Christ's nature is formed in you.

I am writing this to you, my children, so that you will not sin; but if anyone does sin, we have someone who pleads with the Father on our behalf---Jesus Christ, the righteous one.
