You are to do to Ai and its king what you did to Jericho and its king, but this time you may keep its goods and livestock for yourselves. Prepare to attack the city by surprise from the rear."

Once more David consulted God, who answered, "Don't attack them from here, but go around and get ready to attack them from the other side, near the balsam trees.

Jesus got into a boat, and his disciples went with him.

The disciples went to him and woke him up. "Save us, Lord!" they said. "We are about to die!"

After he said this, Jesus spat on the ground and made some mud with the spittle; he rubbed the mud on the man's eyes

and told him, "Go and wash your face in the Pool of Siloam." (This name means "Sent.") So the man went, washed his face, and came back seeing.
