Then Samson became very thirsty, so he called to the LORD and said, "You gave me this great victory; am I now going to die of thirst and be captured by these heathen Philistines?"

so he and his men took a stand in the middle of the field and fought the Philistines. The LORD gave him a great victory.

God gives great victories to his king; he shows constant love to the one he has chosen, to David and his descendants forever.

You are my king and my God; you give victory to your people,
